About
Hygrove Design Company was established in 2002, co-created by mother and daughter team Karin and Angela as both a retail store and Interior Design Studio. Creativity has been a legacy in our family, with many women before us channeling their artistic talents through various forms such as custom needlework, painting, fashion merchandising, and creating beautiful interiors and gardens. Our European heritage has always been an inspiration for our work and business approach.
Over the years, our projects have ranged from residential and commercial, to landscape design. Our in-house fabric library is a cornerstone of our business. With over 25 Canadian and international brands, We believe in collaborating with local talent to create beautiful new items from vintage finds. We also source a variety of new and reproduction products from around the globe, ensuring a diverse collection for our clients.
In 2024, we went back to our roots, back to where my career in design started in a home studio. We closed our retail location and established a new Studio & Atelier at Hygrove House.

Our Design Philosophy
A home is a reflection of the people who live there. Every client has a different life story that they bring to a project. Maybe they are just starting out in their first home or perhaps they have a lot to bring to the table, a lifetime collection of art and furniture that needs to be sorted, edited and shown to its best advantage. Sometimes people just want a fresh start and a clean slate.
It is my job as a designer to listen to my clients story, create a plan and an environment that incorporates the things that they love in a sensible way, while focusing on functionality and comfort.
