Mid-Century Vibes

After purchasing a 1980’s White Rock condo with beautiful ocean views, this wonderful couple came to Hygrove Design for some major help. The room configurations remained as is, but everything else had to go. They loved the simplicity and warmth of the mid-century style but wanted the design to include more updated elements.

Bringing the colours of the ocean, blues, greys and green into the interior design worked well in these bright open spaces. All cabinetry in the kitchen, bathrooms and custom millwork in the living areas was designed by Hygrove. Teak veneers and solid wood construction complemented their original mid-century dining furniture. The only items that these clients brought with them into their new home were a few pieces in the guest bedroom. The lighting, window treatments and most of the furniture was supplied by Hygrove Design. You could truly say this was a fresh start in a beautiful new home.
